Friday Favorites

Friday, May 20, 2016

It's Friday!! Woo hoo! I am ready for the weekend and a fresh week of hopefully gorgeous weather! Today I get to spend lunch with my little family doing our tradition of lunch and visiting the fish at Bass Pro. It's one of Ty's most favorite times of the week and Elena is slowly catching on that she should be excited to go see Daddy too!
Here are some of my favorites from the week. All of which I have enjoyed this week!

ONE: Le Croix Passionfruit

Image result for la croix passion fruit
I bought this on sale from Teeter this week and it reminded me how much I love flavored water. Being pregnant and finding a new beverage to enjoy is the best. This Passionfruit flavor is delicious and it's doesn't make me feel the least bit guilty since IT IS WATER!

TWO: Canisters of Ranch Seasoning

This week I needed to borrow Ranch seasoning from my neighbor to make the crock pot buffalo chicken.  When she told me she had a canister and I could use however much I wanted, I couldn't believe I had been missing out this long! All these years of buying the little  envelopes and I could've been stocked with a can of it! It's these little mom hacks that I love!

THREE: My new sunhat

For my birthday, one of my gifts was this cute sunhat from Nordstrom. My mom got it for me because she knows how much I love the beach and she wanted me to have something adorable to wear on my trip to Hilton Head Island. I tested it out a few weekends ago at Carolina Beach and it was awesome. It protected my face and it stayed on my head despite some gusty winds. I can't wait to sit by the pool with a mocktail and this hat on my head!

FOUR: Life Planner

I am so late to the Erin Condren party, but I made it! I have wanted an Erin Condren Life Planner for about 5 years now. There were some girls on my team when I taught that started using her gear, but I never wanted to spend $50 on a planner. Well, I noticed last month that they were 50% off and I knew this was my chance to see if it was worth it! I LOVE IT! I have taken it everywhere and I feel so organized. Not to mention it is so cute with pictures of all of my kids on it! :)

FIVE: Snickers Ice Cream Minis

I grabbed these from the freezer section last week in my pregnant state of mind, but they have been a happy medium for me. I love the mini size because it gives me all the pleasure but only a part of the guilt to have one after dinner. And I love cold treats like this because I don't have them very often. YUM!

Have a fantastic weekend, everyone! It's another big birthday weekend for Ty and Elena! We will be celebrating two special little girls tomorrow and then Sunday I get to put in my final hours as the two-year-old teacher at church. That makes me feel like this pregnancy is really flying! 26 weeks along now! :)

Friday favorites: birthday gift edition

Thursday, May 12, 2016

I was completely spoiled in every way for my birthday this year.  I have so many favorite moments and memories from the whole week of 30, but I also go so many amazing gifts from family and friends. These are only a few of my favorite gifts that I've been using since I got them!

ONE: Tory Burch "York" Buckle Tote

My grandmother sent this to me for my birthday and I absolutel ADORE it! It's not only the perfect size for my things and a few diapers, but it's also a great color for any season and, in my humble opinion, super stylish. I've been proudly wearing this on my shoulder everywhere I've gone since it was delivered!

TWO: Yankee Candle: Pink Sands

My adorable goddaughter got this candle for me. It was perfect timing too. I am so good about having Fall and Winter scents in my home, but I lack in the Summer and Spring arenas. I love this scent and it brightens my whole house up! Thanks, Gracie Girl!

THREE: Plant/ "S" container

I got this small piece of green paradise from my girlfriend and so far it's been great for my black thumb.  A few days after I received the plant, my sister gave me this beachy initial vase. It was the perfect size for my new plant and looks great in my kitchen! I love both!

FOUR: Birthday Mocktails

When Justin and I sat down at my surprise dinner at Taverna Agora, the waitress asked what I wanted to drink and I asked her to make it feel like I was having a fun cocktail with everyone else and then to keep 'em coming! She nailed it with this Blueberry Mint, Lemonade. Typically it comes with vodka as well, but I gotta tell ya... I didn't miss the vodka a bit and I felt like I was having a drink with everyone else for the celebration!

FIVE: Alex and Ani "I Love You Mom" Bangle

My mom and dad got me my first Alex and Ani bracelet and I haven't taken it off! It's great for wearing everyday because it's not too bulky, but it also has the best charms on it.

Friday Favorites: Still no computer

Friday, April 29, 2016

Well my sweet husband tells me he will have out computer back up and running this weekend. So until then I'll leave you with some of my favorite iPhone memories from recently!

ONE: Ty cooking on a rainy afternoon

TWO: Elena loving her dessert

THREE: These cute baby Rainbow sandals

FOUR: My first 30th birthday gift from my grandmother (I died when. I opened it!)

FIVE: a sunny morning at the neighborhood park

I'm so glad to make it to Friday this wee! Im looking forward to movie night and homemade pizza. I'll leave y'all with a meme that I saw this week and adore...

Have a great weekend, y'all!

Friday Favorites: Smoothies and Cupcakes edition

Thursday, April 21, 2016

TGIF!! This week was somewhat long for me as my little man drained all my energy, so I am grateful that it is finally Friday! We have a weekend of photo sessions and birthday parties ahead of us, which I am looking forward to!

As for this week's favorites...

ONE: Board Games

Ty is finally at the age that we can play board games with him. This week each night we have played a new game. Currently, we are teaching him Candyland and Paw Patrol Race to the Rescue! At three years old, these games are perfect. They teach him colors, taking turns, and of course sportsmanship!

TWO: DQ Smoothies and Julius Drinks

Yesterday, Ty decided that he would bypass his nap, so to stay sane, I took the kids out for the afternoon. We ended up at Dairy Queen ordering smoothies. I got the Mango Pineapple Smoothie and Ty and Elena shared the Strawberry Banana Julius. I cherish my random dates with my crew. I wish it would last forever!

THREE:  Picnic Lunches

North Carolina has blessed us with a week of sunshine and warmth.  We took advantage of it with mornings at the park and picnic lunches.  I am so grateful for neighbors that stay home also and how easy it is to have lunch together and wear the kids out before naps.

FOUR:  Reunions with old friends

Last Saturday night my girlfriend, Kay came to watch the kids so Justin and I could go to an engagement party for an old friend who's getting married in the Fall. We had such an awesome time being out together without our kids in tote (THANKS, KAY!) and of course, seeing some old friends and reminiscing about old times.  Time flies so fast so the nights that we can sit back and laugh about our early 20's are a perfect way to slow down.

FIVE:  Cupcake Proposals (kind of!)

My sister is getting married in the Spring and on Saturday we asked my other sisters and I to be bridesmaids in the wedding! She made each of us a yummy cupcake the colors of her wedding and wrote us little letters to ask.  Aaaaaand Ty and Elena are the ring bearer and flower girl! Yippy! We are so excited to take part in her special day! Love you, Markie!

I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend with family and friends and is able to take some time for themselves at some point! April is almost over, which means so are my 20's, so I know I will be savoring each moment!

Friday Favorites: Rainy Weeks and Super Doubles

Friday, April 15, 2016

ONE: Afternoon Movies on a Rainy Day

April showers bring May flowers... and some long afternoons for a stay at home mama! But lucky for me we have bunches of new movies to watch and two cozy anywhere chairs to snuggle in. I love seeing Ty and Elena sit next to each other on a rainy afternoon with no care in the world. Life is good.

TWO: Strawberry Picking

Tis the season for strawberries. I've found in the past few weeks that this is one of Elena's favorite foods. She seriously scarfs these berries down and is left with nothing but a sweet stained face.  The local farm (and I'm talking 3 minutes from our house) is open for business and the kids love getting in the strawberry patch to eat pick strawberries! I'm lucky to have friends that love to make and share strawberry-happy recipes too... strawberries and pound cake, strawberry cheesecake, strawberry preserves, dried strawberries, and good ole strawberries with whipped cream. I foresee lots of visits to the farm in our near future!

THREE: Harris Teeter Super Doubles

Stocking up on my snacks and household items and restocking my stockpile when super doubles rolls around makes me giddy. Who doesn't love buying it all at a fraction of the price?! Not my shelves are filled with goodness for the next few months! Thanks, Teeter!

FOUR: Aquaphor

Image result for aquaphor
Seriously. Have y'all fallen in love with Aquaphor the way that I have? My love affair all started when we first had Ty. This stuff is a life saver when it comes to diaper rashes and dry skin.  I have found lately that it is just as good on me as the kids. Poor Ty gets super chapped cheeks, especially this time of year and a little Aquaphor completely heals his cute little face. I've also been using it on my eczema, which helps with all the itchiness! I. LOVE. AQUAPHOR.

FIVE: Weeknight Hikes

I have had one of those #goals moments this week with my hubs. He gets home from work early on Wednesday night only to tell me he is taking, not one, but both kids on a hike at the park so I can have a quiet evening. Not only are they hiking, but he preps Ty will a backpack full of juiceboxes and cheese slices (Ty's fave) and gets Elena geared up in the carrier.  I love this for the kids because it is an area I COMPLETELY lack in... I am not as outdoorsy as I'd like to be, but I'm working on it. And I love this for myself for obvious reasons.

Friday Favorites: April Happenings

Friday, April 8, 2016

Happy Friday! For some reason, I feel like this week just FLEW by! I can't believe its Friday already! We have a busy weekend ahead filled with birthday parties and even a monster truck show, but I am really looking forward to taking it easy with my hubby tonight once the kids are in bed. I love a good Friday on the couch with my man!
Here are my favorites from our busy first week in April!

ONE: Ty's Dentist Appointment

Our very first dentist appointment was a few months ago and Ty did NOT love sitting there with his mouth wide for the hygienist. But this time, he did such a great job! It was his first real teeth cleaning and he was so brave as his chair laid back and he put the goggles on his face. He did exactly as he was told and had a great visit. To top it off, he got a new mini soccer ball from the treasure chest. He was pretty pumped about that!

TWO: 20 WEEK ULTRASOUND

Yesterday I had my 20 week check-up for Baby Schneider #3! I cannot believe that we are halfway through this pregnancy already. Each pregnancy has gone faster and faster. Baby boy is happy, healthy, and right on target for his size. Thank you, God for an awesome mid-point appointment! Only 20 more weeks! WOOHOO!

THREE: CUPCAKES WITH FRIENDS

When I ordered more cupcakes for Ty's party, I had in the back of my mind that if we had some leftover, we would share them Monday afternoon with all of Ty's neighbor friends. It was the perfect warm afternoon for testing our the new bubble wand that Ty got and eating a cupcake on the driveway. These kids crack me up when it comes to their sugary sweets!

FOUR: ELENA'S FIRST PAINTED PIGGIES

Elena has been trying to skip her nap here lately. I blame it on the teething/ allergies combo that's been happening. Late teething is no joke! Seriously, four teeth at a time?! Anyhow, one of our nap-free afternoons was spent with some girly pampering as we tested out polish on the toes. This girl knows the good life. She sat perfectly still and watching as I turned her piggies a summery shade of pink!

FIVE: HOME GOODS FIND

I initially went to Home Goods on the hunt for the perfect coordinating bedding for Ty and Elena's new room once baby brother arrives, but to no avail. I did, however, find this awesome sign for our newly transformed playroom! The size was perfect for this particular wall so I got it and am so glad I did. And to make it even more sweet, it only set me back $16! I love a good Home Goods find!

Friday Favorites

Friday, April 1, 2016

TGIF! I am so excited that it's Friday already because we have a BIG weekend of celebrating my boy's THIRD BIRTHDAY ahead! I am linking up with Andrea, Narci, and Erika today. Here are my favorites this from the week! Happy April 1st! Hope no one gets FOOLED today!

ONE: BJ's cupcakes

I cannot believe how affordable and delicious cupcakes from BJ's Warehouse are! I ordered some for Ty's birthday party for tomorrow and they are only $8 for a DOZEN! And these aren't small by any means. They are nice big delicious cupcakes. I know they kids (and grown ups) will love them! BJ's is my jam.

TWO: Spray bottles

The Easter bunny scored big with these spray bottles in the Easter baskets. Ty has spent every afternoon spraying all plants, cars, and things since Easter. It makes for a quiet, easy afternoon for me and a fun time for him. THANKS BUNNY! :)

THREE: Lemonade

Pregnancy craving 2153544252: LEMONADE! I can't get enough lemonade. I think maybe because the weather is gorgeous and an ice cold glass of lemonade is perfect for sitting outside with the kids, but whatever the reason... I LOVE IT RIGHT NOW!

FOUR: Watching these two love each other

This week we went to a Little Gym class with our friends and Ty and Elena loved running around together. We haven't been back to a class since Elena has gotten walking down and they two of them together were the absolute cutest. I am such a BLESSED MAMA!

FIVE: AUNT JEMIMA GRIDDLE POPPERS

Has anyone else tried these? I had a coupon for them so I thought we would give them a whirl. They are so easy and very tasty. Both of my kids loved them. They are like mini pancake puffs and they come in a bunch of flavors. And its a bonus that Ty gets to ask for "poppers". He loves that!

Friday Favorites: Easter Edition

Friday, March 25, 2016

I cannot believe that Easter is only two days away! It came quick this year. Good Friday is such a holy day for so many. THANK YOU, LORD, FOR LOVING US SO MUCH to die on the cross for us.  In two days we can sing ALLELUIA! I've had a great time with my kids this year in prepping for Easter. and getting ready for Spring. Here are my favorites this week!

ONE: Our Easter Bunny Picture

Y'all, I can't help it. This picture cracks me up, Typically, my Elena is the brave one and Ty is terrified of things like the Easter bunny.  She wanted nothing to do with this very sweet looking Easter bunny and Ty was excited to cheese it up for this picture. PS- I LOVE BASS PRO! These free bunny pictures are amazing.

TWO: EASTER BASKET PREP

I think I must be the slackest Easter bunny out there because I am just now putting Ty and Elena's baskets together. I try to keep it somewhat practical, yet fun. Here is what they are getting: Disney DVD (I'm trying to build our collection!), socks, play-dough, toothbrush, window clings, crayons, bath toys, and fruit snacks. What is the Easter bunny bringing to your house?

THREE: SPRING BEDDING

I get so excited to flip my room from Fall/Winter to Spring/ Summer.  I actually made the time this week to change my window treatments and bedding. I found this bedding two years ago at Home Goods and have no desire to get new Spring bedding. I absolutely love this quilt. It brightens up my whole room!

FOUR: EASTER BRUNCH MEAL PREP

I am so excited to make brunch for my family this Easter Sunday. We plan on waking up to see what the bunny brought, reading the Easter story with the kids, enjoying brunch, then heading to church. Afterwards we will spend the rest of the day with family. I love holidays! Here is what I have planned for my brunch menu: Belgium Waffle bar: complete with strawberries, blackberries, whipped cream, Nutella, and hot syrup; Hash Brown casserole: Recipe here! This little boy is having me crave hash browns!; Bacon (of course!)

FIVE: RESURRECTION EGGS

Last week at church nursery we made these cute resurrection eggs with the kids. Ty loved doing this. Each plastic Easter egg was filled with something that tied in with the Easter story. Little minds doing big things!

SIX: GOODBERRY'S BROWNIE SUNDAE

I won't lie. I had to have one of these this week. I think my baby is growing because I just can't get full and this was something that I HAD TO HAVE. Not only did I indulge in this but in place of vanilla custard I got the flavor of the day: DULCE DE LECHE. Sinful.

Have the happiest EASTER!
