Last week NC State University held their annual Farm Days at their agriculture center. It's a free event for kids and families to come out and pet farm animals, learn about farming, and sit on real tractors. I was so excited when our friends invited us to go with them because Ty and Elena love this type of thing!! We decided to get there early to beat the crowds and it was awesome!
Ty warmed up to the animals as the morning went on...
...so did Elena!
We got to hold some cute little chicks. Ty was hesitant at first...
... but once he saw his friends doing it, he caught on quickly!
Next we tried out all the tractors. This boy and his sister love "driving" big machines!
Elena was too cute holding on tight!
Farm Days was the first time Ty ever milked a cow... well, kind of. :)
And we topped off the day with some free NC State ice cream! Who doesn't love ice cream at 9 in the morning?
I can't wait to come back again next year! It was such a cool event for the kids to learn about farm animals!
Linked up with Biana today!
This looks like such a fun event!! My kids would love to go to something like this!! We went to a similar farm when we lived in Ohio and it was such a neat, hands on experience!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! Seems like they really enjoyed it as they got more used to the animals!!
