What's Up Wednesday: November

Wednesday, November 25, 2015

Happy day-before-Thanksgiving!! Today I am linking up with one of my favorite bloggers to share what's up in my little life! Enjoy!
What we're eating this week...
Honeycrisp Apple Sangria Recipe - the perfect cocktail for the fall season!
Sally's Baking Addiction's Honeycrisp Apple Sangria is something I am trying new this year for Thanksgiving! I am also making this....
We are going to do Thanksgiving with Justin's side on Friday and I am in charge of dessert, so this yummy cake and an apple crisp pie will be on that menu!
I love Thanksgiving. All. Of. It. YUM.

What I'm reminiscing about...
Thanksgivings Past...
2011
2013
2014
I apparently have no documentation of Thanksgiving 2012... haha.

What I'm loving...
I'm about to be basic but for real...
I am loving the Peppermint Mocha Latte more than the PSL this year, and when I can't make it to Starbucks, I am using this in my coffee..
What we've been up to...
Busy busy with Thanksgiving prep... here are some things I've done with Ty to get him ready for Turkey day...
turkey hat
turkey feather sorting
Fall sensory bin with friends

What I'm dreading...
the official closing of our family beach house. It's not official until December and I am not ready.
Here is my tribute to the house: Love Hard Live Grateful: home is where the heart is

What I'm working on...
lots and lots of family Christmas photo sessions! YAY!! Also I started another photography class that I am super pumped about! BIG THINGS HAPPENING! :)

What I'm excited about...
We are going to visit family in Baltimore next month and it will be Elena's first time there! I am really looking forward to seeing family that I haven't seen since her baptism, and some that I have not seen since last Thanksgiving!  Here are some pictures from last year's trip...

What I'm watching...
Justin and I just started Parenthood on Netflix, but let's be honest... Hallmark Christmas movies are what's on now until ABC Family starts the 25 Days of Christmas line up. WOOHOO!

What I'm listening to...
Pandora All I Want for Christmas is You radio. Sorry, not sorry. In my eyes, this is a classic.

What I'm wearing...
SWEATER WEATHER, YALL!
I've bought most of my new ones from Banana Republic and the Gap this year.
Also, just wait til you see the cute outfits I got Ty and Elena for Thursday! YAY!

What I'm doing this weekend...
Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving, and more Thanksgiving! It's my family's year for Thanksgiving on Thursday, so we usually go to church together in the morning, then come home, pour a cocktail and watch the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, while meal prep starts! We eat around 5, then veg out the rest of the night.
Friday we will finish Christmas decorating (mostly putting lights outside) and then celebrate with Justin's brother's family.  Thanksgiving meal #2!
Saturday we will head to Justin's parent's house to help decorate their house for Christmas and probably eat lasagna. This year his grandmother will be there from NY and she will meet Elena, so I am really looking forward to our visit there!

What I'm looking forward to next month...
CHRISTMAS!!!
Duh!! I am so excited for Christmas with two kiddos.  We are starting Elf on the Shelf this year with Ty and I KNOW he is going to love it. There are so many wonderful things about this season.  Last year we made some pretty amazing memories with Ty... I can only imagine how it will be with Elena too!

What else is new...
We are trying Santa at Bass Pro this year! Anyone ever gone there for Santa? I've heard wonderful things, so we are planning to go during one of Justin's lunches next week so Ty and Elena can tell him what they want for Christmas!

Bonus Question: What is your favorite Christmas tradition?
I have too many to count so here are the top faves:
Christmas Tea
Cookie-baking day and the cookie exchange
Christmas morning breakfast and Christmas movies
Christmas Eve mass and dinner with my family
Decorating the tree together
Visiting Santa with our kids
Christmas Eve box gift and matching jammies for the kids
